Our Master

W Bro Reg watt

Our Master W Bro Reg Watt was initiated into Lodge Pukekohe No 382 on Thursday 24th November 1988, passed on the 20th March 1989 and raised on 25th May 1989 two days prior to his 41st birthday. Reg filled all lodge positions starting from assistant steward to the senior steward, tyler, inner guard, the Deacons and Wardens positions and was finally installed as Master of Lodge Pukekohe No 382 on Thursday 28th August 1997. On Saturday 8th August 1998 the new Franklin Masonic Centre was opened and consecrated by the M.W. Grand Master Bro C.D Hammond, at which Reg had the privilege of being Master of the official officers forming the opening of the Lodge for the purpose of consecration. At the completion of Reg's year as master, he only held one other position in the lodge up until the time the lodge handed in their charter and that was the position of organist.
Reg joined Lodge Tuakau No 278 as a joining member in 1999 and became master of that lodge in 2002 and 2003. He also held the position of both lodge secretary and organist for that lodge while a member and in 2003 Reg joined Lodge United Waiuku No 90 to assist with that then ailing lodge and in the same year while still master of Lodge Tuakau No 278 was installed as Master of United Waiuku Lodge No 90 by special dispensation. Reg held the mastership of Lodge United Waiuku No 90 for three consecutive years, after which he held office as the organist of that lodge, and still does today. In 2005 Reg joined The Wayfarers Lodge No 389 and still remains a member of that lodge of which he does not hold office, only filling in as required. He likes to refer to this lodge as his Social lodge. Reg joined the United Masters Research Lodge No 167 in 2000 and became an active participant in that lodge, having delivered two papers on the subjects of 'The Grand Stewards' and 'Initiation' and holding office as organist. In 2004 Reg was initiated into St Andrew Lodge No 418 Scottish Constitution and after completing the officers of Junior Deacon, then Senior Warden, he was installed as the Right Worshipful Master in 2008, and again in 2009. At the time of his installation into this the United Master Research Lodge No 167, Reg is still the current R.W. Master of St Andrew No 418 up until April 2010 when he will install his successor. Reg now holds membership in Lodge United Waiuku No 90 as their organist, The Wayfarers Lodge No 389, St. Andrew No 418 S.C, United Master Lodge No 167 and the RAC The Chapter of Peace No 98 and is also a very active member of the Northern Division Choir. This is Reg's ninth time as a master of a Masonic Lodge.

Reg was installed as the Master of this lodge on Thursday 26th November 2009 and has become our 101th Master.
